This week the Florida Education Association has been tweeting about the recent push to counter school shootings by arming the teachers. They have been posting various videos and links to keep people informed on the legislation that is being discussed in the government and urges people to contact their representatives to stop this from passing. They are very vocal about their distaste for the idea of making school shootings a teacher's responsibility and I can' help but agree with them on this one.
